All the cool little tactical LED Surefire lights that cost $200 and are made of titanium whatever don't do you a bit of good with no batteries.

Waterproof Flashlight Housing

NightStar’s state of the art components are contained within a rugged, waterproof housing ensuring reliable operation even in the most severe conditions.

The solid state white light LED is practically unbreakable, has a rated lifetime of tens of thousands of hours, and will produce 720 foot-candles of light at peak brightness.
 

Unique Glowing Switch For Easy Location and Safe Operation
The outer housing of the switch and slider are made from a special luminous  material that will glow for more than 8 hours after only a few minutes' exposure to natural or artificial light. This unique feature allows NightStar to be easily found and operated in dark environments.

Safety Magnet-Activated Switch

In addition, the switch slider in the larger models holds a small super magnet that activates a reed switch mounted on the inside circuit board.  This keeps the housing free of holes and leaky rubber seals. This unique design provides lasting operation,  is inherently waterproof and eliminates any sparks hazard.

In the compact models, the switch was changed from a sliding external switch to a rotary switch to eliminate the problem of clogging.  In the larger NightStar flashlights, mud gets trapped in the sliding mechanism.  With the rotary switches in the compact NightStar CS series, this problem is avoided because there’s no where for mud or debris to get trapped, and even if the mechanism gets caked with mud, the wheel will still rotate.

Heavy Duty All-Weather Capacitor
The unique gold-film capacitor operates in hot and cold environments, can be recharged several hundred thousand times, and will not corrode.
 

Long-lasting Super-Strength Magnets
